Chattahoochee

Chattahoochee River E. coli Levels Spike More Than 17 Times the Healthy Limit

 

The runoff from the rain over the last few days has caused E. coli levels in the Chattahoochee River to spike above 4,000. Anything above 235 is high risk for infection for swimmers according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Stay up to date with E.coli levels on the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper website.

Health-ISAC: How Claude Mythos Could Impact Healthcare Cybersecurity

 

Anthropic's Claude Mythos, an AI model that offers autonomous offensive cybersecurity capabilities, could have an outsized impact on vulnerable sectors like healthcare if it gets into the wrong hands, the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center warned in a recent threat bulletin published in partnership with Quest Diagnostics. 

Mogo Moringa LLC Announces Voluntary Recall of Select Lots of Moringa Capsules Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination

 

Mogo Moringa LLC is voluntarily recalling specific lots of its Mogo Moringa Capsules due to a possible Salmonella contamination concern. Independent third‑party laboratory testing was conducted on retained samples from the affected lots, and no Salmonella was detected. The company is proceeding with this voluntary recall as a precaution and in coordination with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) while the agency continues its evaluation. 

SKS Copack Recalls Various Specialty Beverages Because of Possible Health Risk

 

SKS Copack is recalling various specialty beverages because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.  

Insulet Initiates Voluntary Medical Device Correction for Certain Omnipod® Pods in the U.S. and Affected International Markets

 

Insulet Corporation, Inc. announced a voluntary Medical Device Correction for specific lots of Omnipod® 5, Omnipod DASH®, and Omnipod® Insulin Management System (Omnipod Eros) Pods due to a manufacturing issue, identified through ongoing product monitoring, that could result in insulin under-delivery. 

Hometown Food Company Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Egg in Birch Benders 12oz Sweet Potato Pancake Mix

 

Hometown Food Company initiated a limited, voluntary recall of a single lot code of its Birch Benders 12oz Sweet Potato Pancake Mix because it may contain undeclared egg. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. 

Kettle Cuisine Issues Allergy Alert for Undeclared Shrimp in Whole Foods Market Kitchen Minestrone Soup

 

Kettle Cuisine is recalling 24 oz. cups of Whole Foods Market Kitchen Minestrone Soup which may contain undeclared shrimp. People who have allergies to Crustacean Shellfish (Shrimp) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this soup.

Identify, Isolate and Inform: It is important to continue to ask travel questions. The purpose of this notice is to remind healthcare providers about actions to take in Georgia when evaluating patients for possible serious communicable diseases.
