Stryker Cyber Attack

Stryker Cyber Attack – Hackers Claim System Breach and Device Wipe

 

On March 11, the global medical technology giant Stryker experienced a severe cyberattack when Iranian-linked hackers used wiper malware to permanently erase data from its network. The breach severely impacted operations at its Cork headquarters and compromised devices worldwide, prompting immediate investigations by internal cybersecurity teams and Microsoft engineers.

Measles Cases and Outbreaks

 

As of March 5, 1,281 confirmed measles cases were reported in the United States in 2026. Among these, 1,277 measles cases were reported by 31 jurisdictions. There have been 12 new outbreaks reported in 2026, and 89% of confirmed cases (1,137 of 1,281) are outbreak-associated (237 from outbreaks starting in 2026 and 900 from outbreaks that started in 2025).

CMS Releases Updated Emergency Preparedness Provider Information: What Providers Need to Know

 

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released updated Health Care Provider Guidance aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness across care settings, including long-term care. The update reinforces a clear message: Effective planning, coordination, and continuous readiness are central to protecting patients, staff, and communities before, during, and after emergencies. 

Automated CT Scan Analysis Could Fast-Track Clinical Assessments

 

A research team funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has developed a versatile machine learning model that could one day greatly expand what medical scans can tell us about disease. Scientists used their tool, named Merlin, to assess 3D abdominal computed tomography (CT) scans, accomplishing tasks as simple as identifying anatomical features to as complex as predicting disease onset years in advance.

Frito-Lay Issues Voluntary Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips

 

Frito-Lay is recalling select 8 oz. bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips that could include jalapeño-flavored potato chips and therefore may contain undeclared milk. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product. This product is safe to consume for anyone who does not have a dairy allergy or sensitivity to milk.
