Multiple Measles Exposure Sites Identified in Charlotte This Week as Disease Spreads

 

Multiple measles exposure sites were reported Wednesday in Mecklenburg County as the disease continues to spread in the Carolinas. On Feb. 11, the Mecklenburg County Public Health department announced four locations with potential measles exposure in the Charlotte area.

Vaccination Cuts Risk of COVID-19 Respiratory Failure or Death by 80%

 

The latest case-control study found that adults who received the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine and were not immunosuppressed were 40% less likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19-related illness, and 79% less likely to require invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) support or die. The study was conducted by a multi-center collaboration of 26 hospitals in 20 states called the Investigating Respiratory Viruses in the Acutely Ill (IVY) Network.

Prime Food Processing LLC Issues Allergy Alert and Safety Warning Regarding Uneviscerated Dried Croaker Fish

 

Prime Food Processing LLC is voluntarily recalling Dried Croaker Fish because the product was not adequately eviscerated, as required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Fish that are not properly eviscerated may retain internal organs that can harbor harmful bacteria or toxins, posing a potential health risk to consumers.

Mondelēz Global LLC announced an expansion of its Dec. 24, 2025, voluntary recall in the United States of CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie.
