The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is continuing to see reports of adverse events following the use of tianeptine-containing products. Tianeptine is not approved by the FDA for any medical use and exposure may result in serious harm, including death. Side effects associated with tianeptine use include agitation, confusion, breathing difficulties, and death, among others.
Approximately 180 students in North Dakota are isolating at home after three schools were notified by public health officials of measles exposure on their campuses. Unvaccinated students at the schools were told they need to isolate for 21 days to ensure they were not infected. The precaution was to prevent students from unknowingly spreading the virus to others.
