DCH Announces Rural Hospital Remote Care Critical Care Services Grant Opportunity
The Georgia Department of Community Health’s State Office of Rural Health (SORH) has released a Request for Grant Application for the Dual Track Rural Hospital Remote Critical Care Services Grant.
This funding opportunity (not part of the Rural Health Transformation Program) is intended to support rural hospitals in either continuing or establishing remote critical care services that provide continuous monitoring and real-time access to critical care specialists for patients admitted to intensive care units. Applicants must choose one of two tracks:
- Track 1: Continuation of Current Remote Critical Care Services
- Track 2: Establish New Remote Critical Care Services
DCH anticipates awarding at least $225,000 for a one-year funding period to up to four selected applicants in each track. Eligible applicants must be located in a designated rural county or a county with a critical access hospital, be in good standing with DCH/SORH, and be listed on the Rural Hospital Tax Credit 2026 Ranking of Financial Need.
