Shortly after, Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials sent a statement to media that said the risk of hantavirus for the American public is low.
The Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) announced that crews are continuing to make steady progress on the South Georgia wildfires, but that the work is far from over. On May 5, the GFC said that 50% of the 32,575-acre wildfire on Pineland Road is contained. They added that 22,471 acres of the wildfire on Highway 82 are now 85% contained.

The Product is sold only in the United States. Cereulide is a heat-stable toxin produced by some strains of the bacterium Bacillus cereus.
